Bachelor thesis deals with problems of ICT project management methodologies. The thesis sets out a total of three objectives. The first objective is to identify, characterize and describe uniformly chosen methodologies for managing ICT projects and to map their historical development. The second objective is to compare chosen methodologies according to set of specific criteria. The third objective is to select a suitable methodology for the specified model of ICT departments or companies based on their organizational culture and type of solved projects. In the theoretical part of this thesis basic concepts relating to the issue are defined at first and then chosen methodologies are identified and described uniformly. In the analytical part of the thesis the specific criteria are determined and the methodologies are compared on the base of them. There are also shown and justified reasons for selection of suitable methodology for a model of ICT department or company. Author's own contribution to the problem lies mainly in the comparison of chosen methodologies and, in a reasoned selection of a suitable methodology for a model of ICT department or company.
